Planning Commission – Master Planner Awards

The Master Planner Program is a 3-part course offered jointly by the Geography & Planning Department of West Chester University, the Chester County 20/20 and the Chester County Planning Commission. Three members of the EGT Planning Commission have completed the course and were recognized.  Board of Supervisors members Marty Shane, Thom Clapper and Don McConathy were in attendance for the ceremony.

Ms. Nancy Mohr, President of Chester County 20/20, presented the award to Al Zuccarello and acknowledged EGT as having the largest number of graduates from the course in Chester County.

Mr. Ron Baily, CCPC Director, presented the award to George Martynick and remarked that EGT’s participation in the program enables the Planning Commission to do a better job for their constituents and is a great accomplishment.

Dr. Dottie Ives Dewy of West Chester University Department of Geography & Planning presented the award to Jim McRee and commented that having the ability for cross-learning between communities is extremely valuable and resourceful. Mr. David Ward, CCPC Assistant Director and certified instructor for the program said EGT sets the example by requiring training for the members; it’s a pleasure working with them.

Marty Shane presented Certificates of Appreciation to Al, George and Jim and expressed his thanks to all their ABC’s, especially the PC for raising the level of professionalism in the township; he congratulated them on their individual achievement. Marty also recognized Senya and Peter for spearheading EGT’s participation in the program. He thanked everyone for their attendance.
